* Dew per hour = profit per seed ÷ growth time, for one plot replanted as soon as it’s ready, and assuming one crop per seed. If your harvest gives more than one crop, multiply. ⚠️ rows: we saw the price on the shelf but nobody opened the seed on stream yet. We’ll fill them in.
Which crop should I plant?
- Just starting out: Tomato. It doubles your money in 15 minutes. It needs watering every 5 minutes, so plant it while you’re working near home.
- Playing in short sessions: Watermelon or Wheat. They need watering only every 30–60 minutes and are ready in an hour.
- Best return per seed: Eggplant, +30 Dew for a 20-Dew seed in 45 minutes.
- Avoid for money: Lettuce and Carrot (+5 each). They’re fine for early quests and recipes that ask for them.
Crops you’ll need for cooking and research bundles (wheat for baking, onions, tomatoes) may earn more as ingredients than in the shipping bin. See Dew & money.
Farming basics
- Water time is how often the crop needs watering while it grows. Short water times (Lettuce, Tomato: 5 min) mean more trips with the watering can.
- Hydroponic stations at home are the “sustainable farming” system. Keep them topped up with nutrients for a chance at Loftian super crops.
- Community farms are a timed multiplayer mini-game. Seeds come from a dispenser and the harvest goes to the people of Loftia rather than your wallet.
