How the perk grid works
Each proficiency has a grid of 15 perks:
| Unlocks at | Perks |
|---|---|
| From the start | 2 |
| Level 5 | 3 |
| Level 10 | 4 |
| Level 15 | 3 |
| Level 20 | 3 |
Select a perk and press Learn Skill. The first-tier perks we’ve seen cost 5 points.
Perks confirmed so far
| Perk | Tree | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Ace Fisher I | Fishing | +5% chance to get double (+100%) XP when fishing |
| Second Chance | Fishing | +25% chance the fishing mini-game restarts right away after you fail |
| Artifact Pouch I | Research | Carry 5 more artifacts |
| Charity Charge | Research | 10% chance that charging your battery doesn’t use up one of the station’s charges |
| Bloom Boost I | Community (shown on that page) | Collecting Bloom gives an XP boost to a random attribute |
Good first picks: If you fish for research, take Second Chance, since a failed catch usually costs you the fish. Charity Charge stretches your battery further, which helps because charging is one of Loftia’s main limits (see Energy & battery).
We’re adding the rest of the perks as more Early Access footage and patch notes come out.
